hmm, i forgot most of what i've been doing other than working, going out with my friend and watching video online... so this post is... ... anime updates!!!
yes, recently i am in anime-craze mood!!! best mood ever!!! i lost my anime cravings for very long time, this time i hopes it stays for good...
ok, finished Elemental Gelade or Erementar Gerad in 3 days! not the best anime, i would say... 
it's set in the world of Guardia, where beings called Edel Raids (living weapons) co-exist with humans. Edel Raids have the ability to fuse with a human and bestow him/her powers. The story focuses on the adventures of a young sky pirate Coud Van Giruet, an Edel Raid Reverie Metherlance (more known as Ren), and three guardians of an Edel Raid protection organization called Arc Aile named Cisqua, Rowen, and Kuea. Ren is the last descendant of a rare edel raid who has greater powers than ordinary edel raids and thus is sought after by many (humans and edel raids). many humans use edel raids as weapons and treat them like tools. coud sees it otherwise. he feels that both human and edel raids are the same. coud promised to protect ren until she reaches her destination, edel garden.
story is so-so, it's concept of the anime is cliche. but the voice acting is good! Coud's done by my all time favourite seiyuu, akira ishida. give a 6 (out of 10) stars for this anime.
i love this April! 'cause many of the anime i've been waiting for (some are sequels) are premiered in Japan.

Code geass first season is damn exciting... it's about a guy Lelouch leading people to rebel against the king. he is an intellectual person who is about to calculate and evaluate enemies next possible moves, and conjure a plan. and with the power he got from a mysterious girl, he was able to gaining the upperhand until his sister was kidnapped. and the story more or less ended like that for the first season, which is why i am so anxious to watch the second season. give a 9 (out of 10) stars for code geass. it's really an anime worth watching. i highly recommend this.
xxxholic is about Kimihiro Watanuki who is a high school student plagued by youkai, supernatural beings magically attracted to him. The creatures are invisible to others, and as a result he feels extremely burdened by them. When he quite literally stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, his life changes drastically. this anime focuses a lot on supernatural, the cause and effect of these incidents and legend behind them. it includes many real japanese folktales and it's truly interesting and entertaining to watch. the style the anime is very very unique and each person characteristics is beautifully portrayed as the anime progresses. the art of the supernatural beings, the supernatural world etc are very authentic, i would say it's different, even from other works of the same author... give an 8 (out of 10) stars... and so the sequel, xxxholic kei, just brings in more fun and mysteries.
D.gray man: Exorcists are specially chosen humans who are gifted with the ability to control and use Innocence, a divine substance created in ages past to combat the Earl and his minions. Once 
an Innocence fragment is found to be compatible to a particular user, it can become a weapon or tool for the user to wield in battle. Black Order recruits Exorcists to fight the Millennium Earl and prevent him from destroying the world. while on the other hand, the Millennium Earl is aided in his plans by The Noah Clan, humans who are direct descendants of Noah himself. Each member of this clan is gifted with great power and each represents a different 'aspect' of Noah. The Millennium Earl also commands an army of akuma to help in carrying out his plans. this anime drew my attention the moment i read the summary online. and so i started watching it. this anime got it's humour, action, suspense and friendship. the characters are well-designed in terms of personalities and looks. though the concept of this anime is common, the storyline makes it really good and worth watching... the animation is well-done, i must say... though the anime is still on-going, but from the 78 episodes i've watched, i give an 8 (out of 10) stars for this anime...
Bus gamer comes as such a surprise. 'cause the author initially published only 1 volume of
manga, the Bus Gamer pilot edition, in about 2001 and the next volume never comes. as such, this series isn't as popular as her other series. but late last year, the author announced that an anime will be produced and screened in Japan early this year. and not only that, she also announced that she will continue the manga again.
Bus Gamer, where 'Bus' is the short-form for 'business', is about companies/organisations engaging people in a game (of death). each company is to look for their own gamers, form group of 3, to participant in the game. gamers stand to gain large amount of money, through their contracts and through winning each match of the Bus Game. initially the gamers are playing on for the sake of money, but as the game continues, the gamers are playing for their lives. this anime has a very unique plot and the main characters (they are in the same group) each has very differing personalities which makes cooperation among them difficult at times. will not give any ratings yet since i've only watched 2 episodes so far. but this anime shouldn't be a disappointment, since the author is actively participating in the production. also, the opening and ending songs for this anime is written by the author too... talented, isn't she?
Vampire knight is a very popular shoujo series. and as expected, it has good storylines. it's about Yuki, whose earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, when she was attacked by one vampire and was saved by another, Kaname Kuran. Ten years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted 
daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian for the school, with two purposes: To protect the Day class (humans) from the Night class (vampires)'s fang and protect the true identity of the Night class students from being discovered by the Day class students. Kaname Kuran, Yuki's saviour, leads the group of night class, with the help of Takuma Ichijo. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend who was born into a family of vampire hunters and whose hatred for the vampires that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined to kill them all and never trust them. However, Zero is a vampire himself. there are still many dark plots not revealed. the plot is tempting and the humour and storyline is there. as i've only watched the first episode and read the first volume of the manga, i still don't know much of the story. but i am pretty sure it's a good series 'cause it really got me hooked. so be sure to watch it!
